**OBSERVATIONS:
Holly Clemow @ Burlington~
Holly did a fantastic job incorporating technology into her morning. She allowed students to come in before school and get a chrome book to get on front row, xtra math, typing club, raz kids, moby max, etc. She started her morning with reading using her mimio projector. She used in interactively and had student come up and circle words that were connected their vocabulary learning. She then played an interactive game with homophones from a soft schools website. Learn Zillion was also mentioned that she used and that they have problem solving practice problems as a helpful tool.
Heather Lambert @ McKinley~
Heather had reading rotations going when we first got there. There was a group of students using Moby Max on the I Pads. They were reading a story and answering questions about their story. There was also a group of students on the desk top computers. They were on Moby Max as well, but she had given them a writing assignment. They were to look at a picture and write to respond to her question. After rotations, students gathered as a whole class and she instructed them on Kid Blog. The students had already written four different pieces on Kid Blog and she wanted them to go in and make comments on each other's posts. They were peer editing. One student also showed us how they used the Thinglink app on the I Pads to make a Thinglink for their inquiry projects. They also used Book Creator on the I Pad for other inquiry projects. At the end, she was going to instruct the students to make a Stop Motion Video to show a division word problem being solved.
