Wednesday, May 7th Notes
Videonot.es~ A very cool way to allow students to watch a video and take notes at the same time. They can pause the video as they watch so that they can type their notes without being rushed. Also, this can be shared on Google Drive so that teachers can see their students notes.
Quiet Tube~ If you play a you tube video and do not want students to be able to see all of the advertising along the sides, you can start playing the video and then click the quiet tube bookmark and it will blank everything else out.
Google +/Google hangouts~We can make a circle of colleagues and complete "hangouts" Google Effects is a cool way to customize the way Google hangouts look.
Chrome App~ I installed the App launcher and put it on my toolbar so that I have the same thing that is on the classroom chrome books.
lmgtfy~Let me google that for you~ A cute way to help out a staff member, but remind them that they can just google it.
Klikaklu~This is an app. This is a really need way to do a scavenger hunt. Teachers can create clues and have the students search them and know if they are right or wrong. Very fun!
Helpful Hints~
Command Tab~ Lets you toggle back and forth between web browsers.
Command H~ Lets you hide a web browser
Command ~ Lets you toggle back and forth between two windows in the same program.
Command W~ Lets you close a window
