Monday, October 13th~
**Have students create their own turn in folder in google docs and have them share that folder with you. If you create one turn in folder, all of the students can access each other's papers.
**System Preferences, Display, arrangement (take off mirroring) This will work when you are connected to projector and you want to work on something that the students shouldn't/don't want to see. Then you can slide and cover it up to project it for them.
**Use 2 browsers~ Command Tab, hold command tab and switch browsers. Q=quits Control tab will move you through your open tabs/windows.
**Google maps engine~ Import info from a google document and collect data on a google map. Can use as a whole class project, inquiries, etc.
https://mapsengine.google.com/map/
**Google Forms~Show summary of choices to get a graph of each question.
If you want to share with colleagues, make a copy of the form and share that with them so that the information doesn't combine.
**Videonot.es~A way to engage students while watching a video. Students can type notes as the video plays or you can stop the video and ask questions along the way.
**Diigo~Social bookmarking tool. Anything that you bookmark it will save so that no matter what device you are on it will access the bookmark.
~Also used Diigo to highlight/take notes on an article. Great example of close reading!
**Quietube.com~drag to the bookmark bar and click every time you show a you tube video. Makes it clear/black all around to show students.
